Rahamim ron was born in cairo and grew up and studied at Kibutz shar hagolan where his talent for dance  was revealed at an early age. He began his dance studied with Gertrude Kraus, Judith Aronon and Rena Gluck , and in 1964 became one of the original members of the Batsheva Dance Company .

In 1967 he recive a scholership from Martha Grham in New York , and was invited to dance in the companies of Donald McKayle and Perl Lang . He returned to Israel and to the Batsheva Dance Company as a principal dancer . 

In 1970 he was chosen by Dance  Magazin as the dancer of the month in the USA , and in 1971 won the gold star award , together with Rina Schienfield , as the best couple in the international Dance Festival held in the the Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris. 

In 1974 Rhamaim Ron was awarded the Yair Shapiro Memorial Prize for Choregraphy.

he was the reheasal director of the Bat Sheva Dance Company , the Aratistic Director and Head Teacher of the Dance School in the Kfar saba Conservatorium. 

 

 

רחמים רון  נולד בקהיר , גדל והחנך בקבוץ שער הגולן . בגיל צעיר נתגלו בו כשרונות בתחום המחול . החל את לימודי המחול אצל גרטוד קראוס, יהודית ארנון ורינה גלוק 

רחמים רון היה אחד מראשוני הרקדנים של בת שבע עם היווסדה בשנת 1964

ב 1967 זכה במילגה מטעמה של מארתה גראהם והוזמן להצטרף ללהקותיהם של דונלד מקקייל ופרל לאנג. עם שובו ארצה , התקבל רחמים כרקדן ראשי בלהקת מחול בת שבע . הוא רקד במרבית העבודות הבולטות שהועלו על ידי הלהקה. ב 1970 בעת סיור הלהקה באר״הב , נבחר רחמים רון על ידי ה ״ דאנס מגזין״ לרקדן החודש. 

ב 1971 זכה בפרס״כוכב הזהב״ יחד עם רינה שיינפלד כ״זוג הטוב ביותר״ בפסטיבל המחול הבינלאומי בפריז

בשנים 74-73 הוזמן רחמים רון כרקדן אורח ל שוויץ וגרמניה שם לימד את הטכניקה המודרנית .    הכוראיגרפיה הראשונה שלו עבור בת שבע ״פנטזיה״ הועלתה ב 76 ובשנת 79 יצר עבור הלהקה את ״בנות שילו״ - באותה שנה זכה בפרס ״יאיר שפירא״ על עבודתו ככוארגרף .    רחמים רון רקדן , כוריאגרף , מנהל אומנותי ומורה ראשי למחול בבית הספר למחול במסגרת הקונסרבטוריון שבכפר סבא
